First Car Photo Shoot

A friend of mine bought his first car and requested a photo shoot. I have never shot automobiles before, and that idea made me nervous. Partly also because my setup was not fitting for such photography. My Fujifilm X100F is a fixed lens camera, and even if I am to slap the wide angle converter on it, the focal length is still less-than-desirable for car photography. Regardless, his encouragement made me want to give it a try.
After getting my first Covid-19 vaccination shot on the morning of the shoot, my friend fetched me. Yes, the jab was scheduled way before the idea of the photoshoot but it certainly did not make me think to reschedule the photo shoot - I was really excited for it. The rain started to pour midway through the journey to the site, and we decided to change location as the first choice was an outdoor setting. We went to a popular indoor venue, and after cleaning up the car's exterior, I started snapping photos.
My trustee X100F (attached with the WCL-X100 II Wide Conversion Lens) mounted on an old tripod my family had since the 90s.
We had the car positioned at a few different angles based on some great car photos I have previously researched and saved on my phone as a reference. Unfortunately, we could not take more images than intended as the building's security guard requested that we leave the premise. He informed us that the area is off-limits for such activities due to the nature of the property, which was quite a surprise to us considering that there were plenty of car photos taken at the venue published publicly online. It was a letdown, but we were glad to have secured some pictures.
As we left the building, my friend decided if we should check out an outdoor spot since the sky had cleared up. When we got there, we realised the area was a no-go. There were "No Photography" and "No Videography" signs at every corner, accompanied by abundant CCTV surveillance cameras. It was not worth the risk. Hence, we decided to call it a day.
